Below are descriptions of our upcoming afternoon skills class offerings.
Acting Out 2: Intermediate scene study
Wednesdays, January 7- February 11, 2026 3:30pm-5:00pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-12
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
A six-week, once a week, class for young actors with some acting experience to explore their dramatic and comedic acting skills through acting exercises, scene study, and monologue work. Delve deeper into your characters and learn to unlock interesting choices, mine emotional depth, and strengthen onstage connection with your fellow actors to make your acting come alive. The six-week term will culminate in a final class performance for invited friends and family at the California Theatre.
Freeing the Voice: Group singing for fun and confidence!
Thursdays, January 8- February 12, 2026 3:30pm-5:00pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-12
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
A six-week, once a week, group vocal class for young singers that want to free their voice for more singing confidence, volume, and clarity. Using vocal exercises to build and strengthen the growing young voice in a fun and healthy way, participants, led by NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) instructor Anthony Martinez, will also work on solo and group numbers to be performed at the last class for friends and family. Broadway, pop, country... if you want to sing it better and with more confidence, this is the class for you! The six-week term will culminate in a final class performance for invited friends and family at the California Theatre.
"I'm Game!": Improv and Theatre Games
Tuesdays, January 6- February 10, 2026 3:30pm-4:30pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7
Instructor: Kat Motley
Tuition: $150
A six-week, once a week, class that unleashes the creative spirit through fun theatre games. Utilizing improvisation games and exercises, participants will explore their creativity and unlock their imagination, giving them confidence in the moment. Great for both beginners and experienced young actors that want to be quicker on their feet, make more creative choices, and just have a blast!
Please note: Grades guidelines are not absolute and in some cases older or younger students may be admitted to a class outside the stated age range by permission of the instructor.
