Acting Up!: Acting your heart out
Tuesdays 3:30pm-5:00pm, starting Sept 8.
Ages: 10 and up
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
A six-week, once a week, class for young actors of all levels of experience to explore their dramatic and comedic acting skills through acting exercises, scene study, and monologue work. Using theater games and proved, impactful, acting concepts, have fun with your characters and learn to unlock interesting choices, mine emotional depth, and strengthen onstage connection with your fellow actors to make your acting come alive.
Class size: Minimum- 6. Maximum- 10. NOTE: Class must meet the minimum enrollment for class to occur.
Play to Win! Improv and Theatre Games
Thursdays 3:30pm-4:30pm, starting Sept 10
Ages: 10 and up
Instructor: Katalina Motley
Tuition: $150
A six-week, once a week, class that unleashes the creative spirit through fun theatre games. Utilizing improvisation games and exercises, participants will explore their creativity and unlock their imagination, giving them confidence in the moment. Great for both beginners and experienced young actors that want to be quicker on their feet, make more creative choices, and just have a blast!
Class size: Minimum- 6. Maximum- 15. NOTE: Class must meet the minimum enrollment for class to occur.
Sing Out! Group voice and singing
Wednesdays 3:30pm-5:00pm, starting Sept 9.
Ages: 10 and up
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
This group voice and singing class will strengthen the participants' singing voice through breath work, vocal exercises, ear training, projection and enunciation work, and working on song choices of the student's choice. During the course of this six-week, once a week 90 minute class, participants will gain confidence, increase volume and clarity, develop better pitch and ear skills, and have the chance to perform their work on the stage of the California Theater at a final class recital.
Come increase your singing comfort and skills in a supportive, relaxed environment led by NATS (National Association of Singing Teachers) instructor, and YAS Education Director, Anthony Martinez.
